We have arrived in Panama.... A long but terrific flight... a bit bumpy over the Gulf of Mexico, but other than that, perfect. Our route here took us east over the U.S. over New Orleans, then over the Gulf in-between Cancun and Cuba then straight south. We didn't fly over Mexico at all. A perfect landing.... after seeing the city from the air... it is HUGE. We are used to landing in small tourist towns like Manzanillo, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, etc but this is a major city... it felt like we were landing in Vancouver.. and unusually efficient through customs and on to our buses...We wanted hot and we got it... 34 when we got off the plane, then into the traffic jam... a 20 minute trip to closer to an hour to get to our new home.The Hotel is just this side of spectacular... great views.. great rooms. We will explore a little more tomorrow and have a chill out kind of day after a long one today.
